You mean "when Harrick was hired"


Harrick was a good coach, in that he knows basketball, he teaches a solid & proven offense, and was able to get kids to come play for him. But he was a bad coach in that he had extraordinarily poor judgement. He never paid much attention to the NCAA rules, and never believed he'd be caught even after he was caught on multiple occasions. He risked his career on a marginal talent, and refuses to accept any responsibility for what happened.

It's sad because if Harrick had just toed the line, he could have been wildly successful here. You just can't hire someone like that, and the disaster he created at UGA could be seen coming from a mile away.

I really hope Crean can build something here similar to what Harrick could have had he kept clean.
